SkinSync ("we") provides a skincare diagnostic quiz for the Malaysian market. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how it's handled, in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
What we collect
When you take the Skin Quiz, we collect your skin type, primary skin concerns, typical daily environment, and skin sensitivity level. Under the PDPA, information about your skin condition is treated as sensitive personal data, which is why we ask for your explicit consent before collecting it. If you create an account, we also collect your email address for authentication.
Why we collect it
We use your quiz answers solely to score and recommend a skincare routine suited to your skin type, concerns, and Malaysia's climate. If you're signed in, we save your quiz results so you can view them again from your dashboard.
How it's stored and who has access
Your data is stored with Supabase, our database provider, which acts as a data processor on our behalf. We do not sell your personal data. When you click through to shop a recommended product, we record which product you clicked and the marketplace it links to (currently Shopee) — not your quiz answers — so we can measure which recommendations are useful.
How long we keep it
We retain your quiz answers and account data until you delete your account or contact us to request removal.
Your rights
Under the PDPA, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us using the details below.
